Bara Shigri on the left bank of Chandra is one of the largest glaciers in India. The glacier is so much covered with surface moraine that ice can be seen only along crevasses and in the ablation areas. This is a difficult trek and requires experienced in mountaineering and use of connected equipment. The best time to cross is before sun rise. Allow 12 days.
